Our Team
Steve Chasen is a beverage industry veteran with over 25 years of experience building award-winning teams and brands across some of the world’s leading BevAlc companies. Steve spent the early portion of his career in the luxury food and wine space, but since 2006 has focused within the spirits sector (with some champagne thrown in).
From 2006 through 2016 he worked for Pernod Ricard and Southern Wine and Spirits (in the Pernod dedicated division), the 2nd largest wine and spirits company in the world. There he specialized in Commercial Strategy, Trade Engagement and led an award-winning team of over 100 professionals in the on-premise arena.
From there, he was tapped to build the Trade Marketing function in the US for Campari Group, the 6th largest spirits company in the world, based in Milan. Over 8 years he built world-class teams across the on-premise, off-premise and e-commerce channels as well as creating the industry gold-standard in trade engagement, education and advocacy capabilities. Those teams were twice recognized by IWSR as the best in the United States.
He then launched the Global Trade Advocacy function, overseeing trade activity in 24 countries. He is now a consultant and advisor in the BevAlc space, providing commercial strategies and insights to a range of beverage companies, banks and funds as well as businesses in adjacent industries.
He is a founding member of the Cornell Institute of Food and Beverage Management and works closely with the Nolan School where he frequently lectures and advises on a wide variety of initiatives.
Steve lives in NYC, where he was born and raised, with his wife and 2 children.
